One of the fundraising project is to produce an album recorded by bands from various boarding schools (not only Ansara).
The afternoon, the working committee met with Roslan Aziz, who has agreed to produce the album pro bono. The participating bands will be recording at Tune Studios, Harbour City, Klang and are encouraged to rehearse there too.
The rules are simple -
1. You record your best song. Bands are given the freedom to record cover or original materials.
2. The band must be identified to a particular school.
3. There is no participating fee but each band will need to pay for studio time at a special rate, which will be donated to the charity.
4. Any sale proceed from the album will go to the charity and nothing will be paid to the band.
Raja Ali need to ask all Ansara exco to check with their respective chapter and revert to me on whether your chapter could put together a band to participate in recording of the album.
Raja Ali will be reaching out to other Sekolah Berasrama Penuh (SBP) for their band as well. RMC has committed to participate. I believe, if successful, this will be the first charity and music project that transcends across various SBPs which is without precedent.
